Highflyers get a shot at national journalism
Three high-flying graduates on both the full- and part-time newspaper courses will be selected by noSWeat to undertake an unpaid one month’s internship on a national newspaper at the end of their course.
The candidates will work under the guidance of an experienced journalist and be given a chance to make their mark with the people that matter.
While these internships are not an automatic step into employment they are an invaluable opportunity to forge a career at the top of the journalistic tree.
As well as academic and practical excellence the candidates will, at all times, be ambassadors for noSWeat and as such must demonstrate a positive view of the training they have received and of the centre itself, the college said.
A noSWeat spokesperson added: "This is an invaluable chance of a lifetime for our students and could give those who get the opportunity a shortcut to the nationals."
